Clinical Services
Cervical Smears
Routine smears are carried out by a nurse, in the cervical smear clinic, by appointment. Patients will be invited by computer letter when their smear test is due. Cervical smears are recommended every three years up to the age of 65. You are welcome to ring for the result of your smear approximately six weeks after the smear was taken, in the afternoon if possible. If your smear should prove to be abnormal we will contact you immediately regarding treatment or repeat of the smear.
Contraceptive Services
These include coil fitting and are by appointment with a doctor.
Maternity Care
Antenatal clinics are held every Thursday 9.30 - 12.00 noon, and are run by the midwives.
Child Health Surveillance Clinics
The toddler and baby clinic is held every Thursday 9.00am - 12.30pm, with the health visitor.
Immunisations
A clinic is held on Tuesday mornings at the practice. We strongly recommend that all children should be immunised against the serious and preventable infectious diseases of whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria, polio, measles, mumps and German measles.
